Magnolia Aquatics Company – Shipping Policy

​Howdy y’all, and thank you for choosing Magnolia Aquatics Company. We take shipping live freshwater fish seriously — every order is packed with care and shipped with your new wet pet’s safety as the top priority.

Shipping Days

  • We ship orders Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to reduce the risk of weekend delays.

  • Orders placed Thursday through Sunday will ship the following Monday (weather and carrier conditions permitting).

  • If severe weather, holiday congestion, or carrier delays could impact safe arrival, we may recommend holding your order until conditions improve.

Shipping Method

  • Live orders are shipped using UPS overnight service when available to minimize transit time and stress.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

Weather & Seasonal Holds (Fish Safety First)

We ship year-round to most locations; however, we may recommend delaying shipment in extreme conditions. As a general guideline, we do not recommend shipping to areas experiencing:

  • Extended periods below 40°F, or

  • Extended periods above 100°F

If temperatures, storms, or holiday carrier volume create an increased risk, we may advise postponing shipment. We’ll communicate with you and work out the safest ship date.

Packaging & Live Arrival Care

We pack every order with safe arrival in mind:

  • Insulated shipping materials

  • Proper bagging and oxygen space

  • Heat/cold packs when needed (based on conditions)

Address & Delivery Requirements

To avoid delays, customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • The shipping address is complete and correct

  • Someone is available to receive the package on delivery day

  • Any special delivery instructions are entered at checkout (gate codes, businesses, etc.)

Legal Compliance

Customers are responsible for knowing and following all local and state laws regarding the purchase and possession of any animal or plant ordered from our store.

  • By placing an order, you confirm that the items purchased are legal to own and receive in your location.

  • Magnolia Aquatics Company does not guarantee legality in every state/county/city and is not responsible for orders that cannot be legally received due to local restrictions.
